The Mehrton Ranch is part of the Laguna Creek Mitigation Bank, owned and managed by Conservation Resources, LLC (El Dorado, CA).  Located near the intersections of Meiss and Ione roads in Sacramento County, the land is on the rolling valley margin with grassland, scattered oaks, and seasonal creek habitats. The mitigation bank consists of created vernal pools and seasonal wetlands. The Center accepted a conservation easement to 750 acres in four phases between 1996 and 2001. The Center monitors for easement and management plan compliance.
